If you have passed GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or above and want to keep up your valuable Maths skills, but not planning to take AS or A-Level Mathematics, this is the course for you. At the end of this one year course you will come out with a Level 3 qualification – with equivalent UCAS points to an AS Level.

Core Maths builds on GCSE Maths, with a sharper focus on applying Mathematics to solve problems relevant to their everyday lives. This includes financial applications of Mathematics, as well as further applied and statistical ideas that can support work in other subjects you will be studying, such as Engineering, IT, Psychology, Health Sciences, Geography and even History.

Assessment

How am I assessed? You will take an AS examination at the end of Year 12.
